Salary: Level 8, $157,900 - $171,005 pa, Public Sector CSA Agreement 2024

Location: Perth Metropolitan Area - regional locations with a DPIRD office will be considered

About the opportunity

We are seeking an experienced leader to appoint permanently to undertake this exciting opportunity. As the leader of the Regional Digital Solutions team, you will deliver strategic and coordinated co-investment in telecommunications infrastructure that provides fit-for-purpose connectivity in regional and remote Western Australia. With a track record as a dynamic and strategic leader, you will be instrumental in driving economic growth by improving digital connectivity and capacity, delivering data-related technologies, and closing the digital divide. Success in this project will require significant engagement with key stakeholders, harnessing strategic relationships across government and organisations nationally, as well as leading a small team to deliver digital solutions programs.

We are looking for strategic leaders with:

  • Proven experience leading and managing a team with the ability to motivate and influence people to deliver agreed outcomes.
  • Substantial experience in complex project and program management, with a track record of adopting an evidence-based approach for prioritisation, influencing and engaging with project stakeholders, meeting governance requirements and raising the profile of the projects/program.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver creative and innovative solutions to complex problems, across developing programs and in program delivery.
  • Experience working in regional development, agribusiness or the telecommunications environment.

Employment Conditions and Additional Information

DPIRD is an Emergency Management department and all employees may be required to work or travel during, or outside of, normal business hours to assist with incidents and emergencies.
