Job summary

North West Hospital and Health Service in Mount Isa is seeking an influential procurement leader to ensure compliance, drive value, manage risk and deliver innovative solutions that support regional priorities and health outcomes.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams and provide strategic advice to the Executive and Board on procurement performance and governance. This is a pivotal role shaping regional healthcare supply chains and contract management.

About the role

This influential leadership role is responsible for ensuring compliance, driving value, managing risk, and delivering innovative solutions that support organisational priorities and exceptional healthcare outcomes across our geographically diverse region.

• Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams responsible for procurement, contract management, and staff accommodation services across NWHHS.
• Provide high-level strategic advice to the Executive and Board on procurement performance, contract negotiations, governance, and risk management.
• Oversee procurement and contract frameworks, ensuring compliance with Queensland Government and Queensland Health policies while driving value-for-money outcomes.

Requirements

• C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
• Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
• This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
• A period of probation may apply.
