Job summary

North West Hospital and Health Service – Mount Isa QLD is seeking an accomplished leader to provide strategic and operational leadership across non-clinical services that underpin healthcare delivery. You will oversee Supply, Travel Services, Clinical Administration and Operational Services across the health service.

The role focuses on service performance, financial sustainability, governance and continuous improvement to support high-quality patient care, with responsibility for workforce

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in health administration.
• Experience overseeing non-clinical services across a health service.
• Knowledge of governance, risk management and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with workforce development and planning.

Responsibilities

You will provide strategic and operational leadership across a broad portfolio of essential non-clinical services that underpin healthcare delivery across North West Hospital and Health Service.

• Lead a diverse portfolio encompassing Supply, Travel Services, Clinical Administration and Operational Services across the health service.
• Drive service performance, financial sustainability, governance and continuous improvement to support high-quality patient care.
• Provide strategic leadership to workforce development, service planning, risk management and compliance with legislative and accreditation requirements.

Requirements

• Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
• This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
• A period of probation may apply.
• May require a C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
