We are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Manager to lead and evolve the Learning & Development function across our Australian operations. Reporting to the HR Director – APAC and leading a team of skilled L&D professionals, this role is a key member of the regional HR leadership team and plays a vital role in building organisational capability for the future.
With responsibility for learning across our vertically integrated mining, processing and manufacturing operations, you will ensure our people have the skills, knowledge and development opportunities required to perform today and succeed tomorrow. You will provide strategic direction and operational leadership across the full talent lifecycle, including traineeships, apprenticeships, technical capability development, frontline leadership programs and senior leadership initiatives.
Working closely with business leaders, HR teams and operational stakeholders, you will identify capability needs, align learning priorities to workforce plans and business objectives, and deliver practical, high-quality learning solutions that support both performance and compliance requirements. You will also oversee the L&D budget, manage external training providers, and drive the effective use of learning technologies and systems to improve learner experience, reporting and business outcomes.
A strong focus of the role is maintaining governance and compliance, including training standards, assessment practices, records management and audit readiness. You will use learning data and insights to measure effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvement and support informed decision‑making across the region.
The Learning & Development Manager also plays a key role in strengthening organisational culture by championing inclusive leadership and supporting initiatives that promote diversity, inclusion, reconciliation and cultural awareness. In partnership with our global L&D network, you will contribute to enterprise‑wide projects, share best practice and help ensure a consistent and high‑performing approach to learning and capability development across the organisation.
