K92 Mining Limited is expanding its operations at the Kainantu Gold Mine and seeking a strong Maintenance leader for surface infrastructure. The role focuses on delivering safe, reliable maintenance across Processing Facilities and Surface Mobile Equipment, while developing the team and sustaining asset availability.

The successful candidate will bring 15+ years in maintenance leadership, with preference for experience in Papua New Guinea or remote sites and exposure to processing plants.

Qualifications

Manager - Infrastructure & Maintenance (Surface)

K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. More importantly, we have contributed significantly to the economy of Papua New Guinea, more than 90% of our employees and contractors are from PNG and our local education and skills development initiatives which include scholarships, traineeships and adult literacy programs continue to bring significant benefit the communities in which we operate.

We are now transforming the operation with a new 1.2 mtpa process plant as well as extensive construction and expansion across site that will see us triple the output from our mine by 2027. About the role

As our site goes through a period of rapid expansion, including a brand-new processing plant commissioned in October 2025, we are seeking a Manager - Infrastructure & Maintenance (Surface). In this role you will provide leadership and develop long term strategy for the maintenance function overseeing the Processing Facilities and Surface Mobile Equipment. You will ensure structures and systems are in place and functioning well, the maintenance team is continuously developing, and asset reliability meets targets.

Key / Major Accountabilities

• Through visible leadership behaviour, drive and influence safe behaviours within the work groups under your control and sphere of influence.
• Ensure all employees, visitors and contractors comply with site and contractual HSE requirements and hold people accountable for their safety actions.
• Plan work, so that it can be conducted safely and takes into consideration environmental, adjacent activities, as well as people and resource requirements into account.
• Actively promote a safety first, zero harm culture.
• Develop employee capability by providing formal and informal feedback as well as on the job and formal training opportunities.
• Identify, select, develop, and retain top talent within the Maintenance team with the aim of long-term nationalisation.
• Develop the capability and provide mentoring and coaching to team members including training.
• Develop a cohesive team committed to delivering the business objectives.
• Support change and drive innovation and be able to discern and select appropriate courses of action including intervention as appropriate to resolve differing views and opinions.
• Actively promote an environment where all employees are engaged and valued and focussed on the continuous improvement of the business.
• Proactively engage with the area superintendents/supervisors to provide technical advice and support to the Fixed Plant Maintenance team to ensure plant availability and reliability targets are achieved and optimised against budget.
• Assist with the development/implementation and reporting on work plans
• Coordinate program for management of critical spares to ensure parts availability.
• Support and assist the planning team to ensure the rectification of identified defect equipment to improve and optimise availability and reliability targets.
• Assist in the development of long-term maintenance requirements.
• Assist in the development of Pronto development program.
• Assist with identifying improvement projects to maximise results, reduce risk, and implement cost management initiatives.
• Establish a high-performance culture by setting a high standard for behaviour and performance, motivate team members, and reward and recognise high performance.
• Ensure effective processes for communicating relevant information, including company, site, department, and team performance, to all team members are in place.
• Identify skills gaps and training requirements and assist in developing training packages as required to close the skills gap.
• Develop and control the team budget, ensuring budget targets are not exceeded.
• Implement a culture of cost discipline where team members consider costs in decision making and seek opportunities for cost improvements.

About You

You are a technically focused Maintenance leader who thrives in an operational environment and enjoys partnering with a large team to solve complex challenges. You combine sound judgement and strategic thinking with a practical, collaborative approach, building trust and delivering outcomes that support long term business objectives and a positive workplace culture.

You will be degree or trade qualified with 15+ years of experience and be able to demonstrate the following:

• Minimum of (5) years’ experience working in a maintenance leadership role.
• Previous experience operating in Papua New Guinea or developing countries in remote locations will be highly regarded.
• Previous experience in processing plants will be highly regarded.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office suite.
• Experience in the use of Pronto will be highly regarded.
• Sound planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and autonomously.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
• Strong active listening & interpersonal skills for rapport building, conflict resolution & training.
