Job description

ITS ensures that policies, architecture, and standards are in place to deliver quality, effective business focused outcomes that position its clients to be able to work anytime, anywhere.

As Manager You Will
  • Lead the delivery of quality services in information management, physical and electronic recordkeeping, and Right to Information (RTI).
  • Proactively identify opportunities for service improvements and streamlining of data and information processes.
  • Lead, support, and develop a high-performing team and foster a positive and ‘client first' workplace culture that aligns with the department's vision and values.
  • Cultivate effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders through consultation, collaboration, and negotiations which are beneficial to business initiatives and outcomes.
  • Oversee the development and application of departmental recordkeeping and information management policies, standards, and procedures in the operations of information security and information management to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) is appropriately managed.
  • Provide expert advice and compliance assessments regarding all aspects of information management, information security, information lifecycle (protection, storage, archiving, disposal), and associated policies, standards, and processes according to best practice.
  • Manage the technical aspects of electronic Document and Records Management System (eDRMS) and associate contracts with third party suppliers, and work with suppliers and the team to resolve and deliver system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Ensure the development of quality system documentation and knowledge management practices.
  • Continuously scan the environment for risk and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and ensure departmental compliance with legislation and international standards including the Public Records Act 2023, Right to Information Act 2009, Information Privacy Act 2009, Information security policy (IS18:2018) and ISO27001.
  • Perform other tasks as required by the Director, and CIO.
