Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland invites applications for a Manager, Finance Transformation to lead the Finance transformation within the FIT Program, aligning processes, testing, data readiness and go-live across a large not-for-profit. You will partner with senior leaders, business owners and program partners to deliver lasting change.

This is a 12-month fixed-term, full-time role with hybrid working by agreement. You will oversee milestones, risks, governance, and the implementation of the target

Qualifications

• Degree in finance or accounting is required.
• Postgraduate qualifications are viewed favourably.
• Advanced knowledge of finance, accounting processes, controls and governance.
• Experience leading complex business transformation or project delivery initiatives.
• Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and coordinate cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead Finance through process alignment, testing, readiness, cutover and transition.
• Set priorities and coordinate Finance participation across requirements, design, controls, data, and governance.
• Lead business readiness across people, processes, systems, data, policies and ways of working.
• Coordinate Finance involvement in testing, cutover, go-live and transition to business-as-usual operations.
• Maintain oversight of milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and decisions.
• Drive the implementation of approved Finance service delivery and target operating model outcomes.
• Partner with Change Management, Digital & Technology, delivery partners and People & Culture to support adoption.
• Provide clear reporting, executive briefings and decision papers to Finance leaders and governance forums.
• Lead, coach and support two Finance Transformation Analysts.

Make your mark on a major finance transformationJoin one of Queensland's largest employers and play a leading role in the Finance Information Transformation (FIT) Program, a complex, organisation-wide initiative designed to unify and modernise our finance systems.

As Manager, Finance Transformation, you will lead Finance through process alignment, testing, business readiness, cutover and transition, working with senior leaders, business owners and program partners to deliver lasting change across a large and diverse organisation. This is a rare opportunity to influence how Finance operates into the future while creating long-term impact for the communities we serve.

Please note, this position is a Full Time, 12 month Fixed Term opportunity. Flexibility is important to us, and we know it is to you, too - this role supports hybrid working by agreement.

Your part in our UnitingCare team:

Lead Business, Finance and Strategy’s delivery across the FIT Program, ensuring critical milestones and transformation outcomes are achieved.

Set priorities and coordinate Finance participation across requirements, process design, controls, data, reporting and governance.

Lead business readiness across people, processes, systems, data, policies, controls and ways of working.

Coordinate Finance involvement in testing, cutover, go-live, hypercare and transition to business-as-usual operations.

Maintain oversight of program milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions and operational readiness.

Drive the implementation of approved Finance service delivery and target operating model outcomes.

Partner with Change Management, Digital and Technology, delivery partners and People and Culture to support adoption and organisational change.

Provide clear reporting, executive briefings and decision papers to Finance leaders, program sponsors and governance forums.

Lead, coach and support two Finance Transformation Analysts while building a collaborative and outcomes-focused team environment.

What makes a difference for us?

Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies. This may include:a Nationally Coordinated Police Check, Right to Work in Australia, Insolvency Check

A degree in finance, accounting or a related discipline, with postgraduate qualifications viewed favourably.

Advanced knowledge of Finance and accounting processes, controls, data, reporting and governance.

Demonstrated experience leading complex business transformation, strategic improvement or project delivery initiatives.

Strong project management capability across planning, governance, milestones, risks, dependencies and reporting.

Practical experience supporting business readiness, testing, cutover, go-live and operational transition.

Experience implementing process improvements, service delivery models, target operating models or significant organisational change.

The ability to influence senior stakeholders, coordinate cross-functional teams and progress decisions without relying on direct authority.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise executive presentations, governance materials and decision papers.

A collaborative and adaptable leadership style, with the ability to work through ambiguity, competing priorities and changing project demands.

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Workday Adaptive Planning, Trintech Adra or similar enterprise platforms will be highly regarded, as will a formal project or change management certification.
