What you will do

Reporting to the Director, Office of the IGEM (Deputy Inspector-General), the Manager Evaluation and Review leads a team to plan and conduct evaluations and reviews to assess the capacity, capability and performance of the emergency management sector against intended community-focused outcomes and leading practice.

You will:

  • lead high-level evaluations and reviews of emergency management capacity, capability and performance
  • identify risks, trends and important performance issues to guide future work
  • manage complex data, research and analysis using surveys, interviews and other methods
  • provide expert advice on emergency management issues and prepare clear briefs and reports
  • support your team through strong leadership, mentoring and professional development.

About you

A tertiary qualification in a relevant field is desirable. You can also bring strong experience in evaluation, review, research or a related field.

You should also have:

  • high-level experience leading evaluation and review work, from planning through to delivery
  • strong research, analysis and investigation skills, with the ability to assess complex information
  • knowledge of the emergency management sector and the issues it faces
  • people leadership skills, with the ability to support your team and build its capability.
