The opportunity

Are you a strategic leader with a passion for digital transformation? Hobsons Bay City Council is seeking a dynamic Manager Digital Services to lead our Digital Services department and drive the development and delivery of resilient, secure, and customer-focused technology platforms.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead and manage the Digital Services team to deliver high-performing ICT services.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of Council’s Digital Strategy.
  • Provide expert advice to the Executive Leadership Team on digital and information systems.
  • Ensure the delivery of secure, resilient, and cost-effective ICT infrastructure.
  • Manage major technology projects and drive effective change management.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as Council’s Chief Information Officer.
What You'll Need To Succeed
  • Degree or postgraduate qualifications in IT, Computer Science, Business Management, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in ICT strategy, digital transformation, and records management.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and data protection.
  • Proven leadership in digital environments and technology project delivery.
  • Experience managing staff and contractors, ideally in local government or public sector.
