Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a Manager Data Governance Enablement & Ops to lead the enablement and operationalisation of data governance across the organisation from Macquarie Park, NSW. You will partner with business leaders, data owners and delivery teams to embed practical, scalable governance that drives value and protects critical data.

You will build capability, coach staff and deliver governance maturity initiatives while balancing day-to-day priorities with longer-term data improvement

As part of Transport's Chief Data Office, you will lead the enablement and operationalisation of data governance across the organisation, working directly with business leaders, data owners and delivery teams to embed practical, scalable and value-driven governance practices. About you

• You have demonstrated experience implementing data governance, data stewardship or data management frameworks within a large and complex organisation.
• You have hands-on experience with enterprise data governance tools such as Collibra or similar platforms.
• You possess strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and build trusted relationships at all levels.
• You have experience partnering with business and technical teams to improve data quality, governance maturity and compliance outcomes.
• You have proven leadership experience, including building team capability, coaching staff and delivering strategic objectives.
• You can drive organisational change and successfully balance operational priorities with long-term governance and data improvement initiatives.
