Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Westpac Group in Sydney is seeking an Audit Manager who loves hands-on data work to turn analytics into actionable audit insights across Consumer, Business & Wealth portfolios.
You will design analytics-driven risk-based audits, use Alteryx, SAS and SQL, and build strong stakeholder relationships while contributing to continuous improvement of audit methods in a hybrid work model (3 days in office, 2 remote).
This is an opportunity for an Audit Manager who enjoys getting hands-on with data and wants to use analytics to uncover insights, challenge how controls are operating and contribute to meaningful audit outcomes. You'll combine analytics, professional judgement and stakeholder engagement to deliver meaningful audit outcomes that help strengthen risk management and control effectiveness across the Consumer, Business & Wealth (CBW) portfolios.
Joining our Group Audit CBW & Response team, you’ll work across a diverse range of audits covering areas such as mortgages, business lending and various emerging risk topics. What makes this opportunity particularly interesting is the role data plays in how the team works. Rather than relying solely on traditional sample-based testing, you’ll use analytics to interrogate large data populations, identify trends and assess how effectively controls are operating.
We’re looking for someone who can bring together analytical capability, curiosity and a strong understanding of risk or audit.
Experience within financial services or consumer/business banking would be valuable, but deep product knowledge isn’t essential. We’re particularly interested in the analytical capability you can bring and your appetite to learn the rest.
You don’t need to arrive knowing every consumer or business banking product or methodology. We can help you build that knowledge. What’s important is that you’re genuinely comfortable working with data, understand how analytics can answer an audit or control-testing question, and are keen to broaden your capability across audit, risk and stakeholder engagement.
We’re obsessed with becoming our customers #1 banking partner for life and we’re looking for people who are passionate about helping us achieve that goal. In return we’re committed to making Westpac the best place to work in the country. Here are just a few of the ways we’re already doing that:
