Job summary

The NSW Reconstruction Authority in New South Wales is seeking a Manager Communications & Engagement to lead strategic communications and engagement initiatives across the Northern Rivers region. You will guide senior leaders, develop messaging, and foster strong stakeholder trust while delivering high‑quality communications outcomes.

Qualifications

• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Proven leadership experience coaching and motivating teams.
• Experience managing communications in a political/media-sensitive environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Tertiary qualifications in communications/public relations/journalism or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of strategic communications, stakeholder engagement and community engagement initiatives.
• Provide expert advice to senior leaders and ensure communications activities support priorities.
• Oversee creation of engaging communications materials and manage sensitive issues.
• Build stakeholder relationships and lead a team to deliver outcomes across the Northern Rivers.
