MW Recruitment is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead a growing Toowoomba-based advisory practice. You will oversee a portfolio of business clients across accounting, tax advisory and business advisory, working closely with a Partner and mentoring junior accountants.

The role offers senior leadership responsibility within a dynamic, full-service financial services firm, with options for flexible hours and career progression as the team expands in regional Australia.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA, CPA or IPA.
• Experience in a management position preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements and tax returns.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong workflow planning and time management abilities.

An innovative, technology-driven advisory firm based in Toowoomba is seeking a driven and enthusiastic Accounting Manager to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a senior leadership role within a dynamic, full-service financial services firm supporting business owners across a wide variety of industries.

About the Role

Working closely with a Partner, you will manage a portfolio of business clients across accounting, tax advisory and business advisory, with exposure to a broad range of industries and structures. You will oversee workflow, supervise and mentor junior accountants, and proactively seek business advisory opportunities. Over time, you will build up to managing in excess of $1.5M in client fees.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of business clients
• Review financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies and trusts
• Supervise and mentor accountants within your team
• Ensure monthly workflow targets are met
• Identify and deliver business and tax advisory opportunities
• Build and maintain strong client relationships

Requirements

• CA, CPA or IPA qualified
• Ideally has experience in a management position previously
• Strong technical knowledge across financial statements and tax returns
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong workflow planning and time management abilities
