Job summary

William Buck is a leading professional services firm on the Gold Coast seeking an experienced Business Advisory Manager to guide a fast-growing team. You will lead a portfolio of high-value business advisory clients, advise on tax strategies and growth opportunities, and mentor junior staff while ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or relevant discipline.
• CA/CPA Qualified.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in a public practice firm.
• Management and mentoring experience.
• Strong client relationship and leadership skills.
• Strong technical tax compliance knowledge.
• Excellent communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a portfolio of high-value business advisory clients with the Partner.
• Advise clients on tax strategies and business growth opportunities, prepare financial reports and ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge.
• Review statutory compliance work including financial statements, tax returns, BAS, FBT and company secretarial matters.
• Lead, coach and develop team members through regular feedback and support.
• Review client budgets, cash flow and year-end tax planning requirements.

Description of the role:

We’re seeking an experienced Manager to join a fast-growing team. In this role you’ll assist a range of clients across business advisory, compliance and strategic tax services.

What your day might look like:

• Work closely with the Partner to lead and manage a portfolio of high-value business advisory clients.
• Advising clients on tax strategies and business growth opportunities, preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards.
• Mentoring junior team members and sharing knowledge.
• Review statutory compliance work including financial statements, tax returns, BAS, FBT and company secretarial matters.
• Lead, coach and develop team members through regular feedback and support.
