This role is based in Boorloo – Perth. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Your key responsibilities

  • Manage the audit engagement by defining audit strategy, in consultation with the Partner, and executing it in compliance with our policies and protocol
  • Effectively manage the Audit process with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters
  • Lead and manage fieldwork on clients’ sites including liaising with other departments to ensure the smooth delivery of the Audit process
  • Expertise in accounting frameworks (IFRS) and in related financial reporting matters

Skills and attributes for success

  • Proficiency in Mandarin is required for effective communication with Mandarin-speaking clients
  • SOX or PCAOB experience is desirable
  • Proven experience in delivering external audit and assurance engagements
  • Experience leading the planning, execution and reporting on audits

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Proven track record with developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills and a collaborative approach to management
  • At least 5 years’ experience as an auditor
  • A strong academic record, including a degree and progress towards/completion of a recognised accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA) or equivalent
