Job summary

BDO in Brisbane is seeking a Manager to join our Audit team. You will lead and develop the audit group across a range of engagements in a dynamic market.

You will oversee the audit process, review technical work, and liaise with clients to identify opportunities while mentoring junior staff. A CA/CPA qualification and robust external audit experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• External audit experience in a professional services firm.
• Experience leading and developing teams.
• CA/CPA qualification required.
• Strong understanding of financial statement areas.
• Ability to identify risks of misstatement and design audit tests.
• PCAOB experience will be highly regarded.
• Exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage, lead, and develop the Audit team to ensure successful completion and execution of engagements across varied complexity.
• Contribute to service line strategy and provide development feedback to juniors.
• Review working papers, queries, and reports for quality and compliance with audit plans.
• Lead and participate in technical audit and accounting matters.
• Liaise with clients and identify future opportunities.
