Job description
Management Accountant / Senior Financial Analyst

We’re looking for an experienced Management Accountant / Analyst to join our Melbourne finance team and play a critical role in delivering accurate, timely, and meaningful financial insights.

Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you’ll take ownership of monthly reporting cycles, budgeting and forecasting, compliance obligations, and ad hoc analysis. This is a highly visible role where your technical expertise will be recognised and valued across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage month-end and ongoing reporting, including variance analysis, Branch and Group P&Ls, Management Pack, Flash Reports, and trackers
  • Support the budgeting and reforecasting process, ensuring accurate cost centre allocations, client allocation checks, and budget conformity
  • Oversee compliance and transactional processes, including BAS lodgements, payroll support, payment times reporting, and quarterly commission calculations
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy through expense account tracking, invoice reviews, and project cost centre reconciliations
  • Drive improvements by establishing new reporting requirements (e.g. cost centre P&Ls, workflows) and providing data inputs into the Broker CRM system
  • Contribute to special processes and projects such as Portfolio/Broker Fee & Commission reallocations, the NRI process, and ad hoc reporting requests

Fundamentally, you’ll be responsible for producing key reports, supporting operational leaders, and ensuring strong financial controls. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified (or nearly qualified) accounting professional who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is ready to make their mark in a national business.

About You

You’re a well-rounded finance professional with experience in management accounting or financial analysis. With a strong foundation in reporting, variance analysis, and compliance, you’re confident in your ability to deliver accurate outcomes under pressure.

Your attention to detail, ability to interpret financial data, and proactive approach set you apart. You’re just as comfortable deep in the numbers as you are presenting insights to stakeholders. You’re collaborative by nature, eager to build relationships across the business, and motivated to drive continuous improvement. You’re as comfortable working autonomously as you are in a team.

You’re degree qualified in accounting or finance, and CA/CPA qualified (or on the way). You’re also looking for a workplace where your contribution is recognised, your career development is supported, and your expertise is genuinely valued.
