Job summary

Perigon Group in Sydney seeks a CA/CPA qualified accountant to join as Property/Management Accountant, bridging head office and assets and delivering high-quality accounting support and analytical input to property managers.

You will prepare monthly management reports, review P&L, perform variance analysis with commentary, and handle balance sheet reconciliations, lease reporting, budgeting, and outgoings reconciliations, plus ad hoc reporting and process-improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualification required or part qualified.
• Commercial property sector experience preferred; or first-mover/commercial accountant with interest in property.
• Excellent Excel skills and advanced financial modelling ability.
• Ability to provide insightful commentary on variances and drive decision support.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management reports and P&L review with variance analysis and commentary.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and monthly lease reporting.
• Lead annual budgeting process and assist with accounting adjustments and outgoings reconciliations.
• Deliver ad hoc reporting and analysis; participate in projects and process-improvement initiatives.

Reporting into the Finance Manager of this ASX listed Real Estate group, this is a varied, challenging role, with an established yet expanding Australian firm. This is a critical role, bridging the gap between head office and the Firm's assets, in providing high quality accounting support and analytical input to the Property Managers.

You'll be responsible for preparing monthly management reports, P&L review, variance analysis and provision of commentary on variances, in order to deliver effective decision support to your business stakeholders.

You will also work on the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, monthly lease reporting, annual budgeting, accounting adjustments and preparation of outgoings reconciliations.

Also, you'll be required to deliver ad hoc reporting and analysis when required, as well as be heavily involved in projects and process improvement initiatives.

You are a CA/CPA qualified Accountant (or part qual), ideally coming from within the commercial property sector, in either a management accounting or property accounting capacity. Or otherwise you're a 1st mover or commercial accountant with an interest in the property sector.

You'll have an engaging personality, an articulate, professional communication style, strong analytical capabilities and excellent Excel skills.
