Job summary

Richard Lloyd Accounting Recruitment is seeking a Management Accountant for a global food and beverage supplier located on the Central Coast, NSW. You will partner with operations, supply chain and procurement teams to drive profitability and cash flow improvements.

The role covers costing, monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting and accounts payable, with emphasis on continuous improvement and capital investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce or equivalent
• CA/CPA qualification or working towards is preferred
• 3+ years' experience in Management/Cost accounting or manufacturing finance

Responsibilities

• Maintain product costing accuracy and analyse variances to drive profitability
• Deliver monthly financial reporting and performance analysis against budget and forecast
• Partner with operations to improve productivity, reduce costs, and drive operational excellence
• Coordinate budgeting and forecasting, identifying cost drivers and investment opportunities
• Manage the Accounts Payable function end-to-end, including invoice processing and supplier payments
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and capital investment evaluations

The Role

This Management Accountant role supporting financial performance across operations. You'll partner with operational teams to deliver financial insights, controls, and analysis that drives business efficiency and profitability.

Key repsonabilties include but not limited to:

Maintain product costing accuracy and analyse variances to drive profitability

Deliver monthly financial reporting and performance analysis against budget and forecast

Partner with operations to improve productivity, reduce costs, and drive operational excellence

Your Background

The successful candidate background will include some of the following key attributes:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce and professionally qualified CA, CPA or similar (or working towards)

3+ years' experience in Management Accounting, Cost Accounting or Manufacturing Finance

Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting and manufacturing variances, is ideal but not essential

Experience with SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems (preferred)

Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with strong commercial acumen

Excellent communication, business partnering capability and continuous improvement mindset
