Responsibilities

• Assist store manager in growing sales and operational running of a Trade/Retail/Automotive/Industrial/Protective & Marine Coatings store.
• Be flexible, self-motivated with high customer service standards and strong technical knowledge of paint systems.
• Engage with local building & construction projects and lift company profile through community involvement.
• Monitor local competitor activity and report to Crowies Paints management.
• Collaborate with strategic supply partners to target new business and support store budgets.

Crowies Paints was established in 1996 and operates a chain of over 30 paint specialist stores in SA, Vic, Qld and NSW distributing a wide variety of paint brands.. A role has arisen for the role ofMajor Account Manager basedin Adelaide, SA.

About the role

We require a bright ambitious sales professional who preferably has experience working within the automotive, industrial, or protective coatings industries. Ideally an experienced automotive coatings sales professional and or a qualified spray painter with the ambition to pursue a career within sales. This position would be ideal for someone who possess both strong account management and operational skills.This position will suit someone seeking a long-term career in a stable and progressive company. The role isbased in Adelaide and surrounding areas.

Duties & Responsibilities

This role will assist the store manager in growing sales and the operational running of a Trade,Retail, Automotive, Industrial, Protective & Marine Coatings paint store. The successful applicant will be flexible, self-motivated, have high ideals of customer service, possess a strong technical knowledge of automotive, architectural, industrial & protective paint systems and want to join a happy, progressive and successful team. Additionally, the successful applicant will be comfortable with cold calling to prospect new business, keeping engaged in the local building & construction industry through following projects and not adverse to lifting the companies’ profile by engaging with community centric organisations. Monitor and communicate local competitor activity to Crowies Paints management. Work in collaboration with Crowies Paints strategic supply partners to ensure alignment on new business targetsto support in the overall delivery of store budgets.

Skills & Experience

This is a demanding role and we are seeking a high calibre applicant. Coatings & Paint Industry experience is preferred but not essential. Applicants that have also had Automotive/Industrial/Trade/Retail/Hardware industry experience or related building industry experience will be highly considered. High level of written and oral presentation skills. Ability to prioritise and work effectively to manage several projects at once. A proven history of achieving sales growth whilst controlling operational expenses will be highly regarded.
