Job summary

ADM in Minnesota seeks a Maintenance Technician to support equipment maintenance, preventive work, and rapid responses to breakdowns. You will document tasks in Maximo and assist with setup and reassembly of critical equipment.

The role requires teamwork, safe work practices, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. On-call weekend shifts and adherence to GMP and safety protocols are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Complete tasks assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

• Support production and cleanup with breakdowns or repairs.
• Perform machine set ups for the next shift.
• Be on-call every 4th weekend unless noted.
• Respond to reports of food defense concerns.

Maintenance Technician- Litchfield, MN

General Requirements

• Work cooperatively in a team environment and accept and follow directions.
• Follow time and attendance guidelines in accordance with the employee handbook.
• Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experienced in operating a variety of equipment and tools
• Able to work well with minimal supervision
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures
• Able to stand for long periods and climb stairs regularly throughout shift.
• Physically capable of lifting 75 pounds unassisted
• Ability to regularly lift and / or carry up to 55 pounds individually or up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to squat and bend frequently while lifting up to 55 pounds during shift.
• Tolerant of seasonally very warm temperatures.
• Basic computer knowledge and skills.

Shift Hours:

6am-6pm. 12hr rotating shifts.

Quality Control Requirements

• Knowledge of and ability to follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Complete understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and its importance.
• Follow and monitor to ensure all Safe Quality Food (SQF) guidelines are implemented and followed.
• Report any suspicious activity related to food defense.

Note: Required to report food safety problems or concerns immediately to a person with authority to initiate action as indicated on the organizational chart.

Safety Requirements

• Be aware of and follow up to date OSHA regulations that apply to the tasks in your job.
• Practice safe lifting techniques, bending and lifting with your legs not your back.
• Pivot with your feet avoiding twisting at the waist.
• Be aware of your surroundings, watching for forklift traffic and trip hazards such as pallets or cords.
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the job you are doing.
• Maintain proper guards and safety devices when working with machinery and on catwalks.
• Never operate equipment for which you have not been properly trained or certified for.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
