Job summary

Sydney Water is hiring a Maintenance Technician Level 1 – North region to help maintain critical water and wastewater infrastructure across Greater Sydney. You’ll respond to urgent callouts, repair mains, and support daily coordination with a focus on safety and customer service.

The role involves traveling across Ryde, Seven Hills, and Warriewood, with rostered afternoon/night shifts and overtime allowances.

Qualifications

• Hold MR/HR licences or willing to obtain after selection.
• White Card (Construction Induction) required.
• Trade certificates listed or equivalent experience preferred.
• Must be able to reach production area within 30 minutes when called for after-hours.

Responsibilities

• Respond to urgent callouts and repair water mains.
• Maintain water and wastewater assets and deliver customer-focused service.
• Coordinate daily work and support operations across multiple sites in Greater Sydney.
• Work afternoon and night shifts with allowances and overtime.
• Prioritize safety, follow procedures, and use PPE on site.
