Job summary

Opal HealthCare is seeking a Maintenance Officer for Glen Osmond Grove Care Community in Adelaide’s east. You will perform maintenance tasks across buildings and grounds, coordinate contractors, and ensure safety and quality in daily operations.

The role is permanent full-time, Monday to Friday, with hourly pay of 33.65–37.69 AUD plus 12% superannuation. This is a hands-on position at our 84-bed community focused on resident comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, handyman or groundskeeping, preferably in aged care.
• Trade qualification or relevant technical experience is highly regarded.
• Experience with safety and manual handling requirements is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs across buildings.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and respectfully.
• Perform preventative checks and maintain records.
• Coordinate contractors and ensure safe, high-quality work.
