Job summary

Bengalla Mining Company in Muswellbrook, NSW, is seeking skilled Electricians to join our Mobile and Shutdown Maintenance Teams. You will maintain our HME fleet, diagnose faults, perform scheduled shutdowns, and work safely in both workshop and field environments.

Qualifications

• Electrical Trade Qualification (Electrical Supervisors or Contractors Licence).
• HV switching accreditation or willingness to complete.
• Demonstrated experience with maintenance of heavy mining equipment (Hitachi, Cat, Liebherr, Komatsu).
• Strong diagnosing and troubleshooting background.
• Excellent communication skills and good computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on HME fleet.
• Perform scheduled shutdown maintenance and statutory testing.
• Ensure all work meets high quality standards and fleet reliability.
• Assist in developing and improving maintenance strategies.
• Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental procedures; mentor apprentices.

The Opportunity

The Bengalla Maintenance Team is a multi-disciplined team that is responsible for preventive, corrective and shutdown maintenance on Bengalla HME fleet. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, we are seeking skilled Electricians to join our Mobile and Shutdown Maintenance Teams.
Working closely with the broader Maintenance team, our Electricians play a pivotal role in maintaining our equipment through routine maintenance, fault finding and diagnostics in both the maintenance workshop and field environments.
Using your knowledge and skills, you are enabled to take ownership, prioritise and plan tasks safely, efficiently and cost effectively as well as identify and action improvement opportunities that you see fit.
Working a Lifestyle 4/5 roster - 12.5 hour shifts you will be responsible for:

• Trouble shooting diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on our Truck and ancillary HME Fleet
• Performing scheduled Shutdown maintenance, statutory testing and electrical installations
• Ensuring all work completed is to the highest standard to ensure fleet reliability
• Providing assistance in the development and improvement of maintenance strategies
• Complying with Bengalla’s Health, Safety and Environmental procedures at all times
• Mentoring and developing our Electrical apprentices

Qualifications And Experience

The successful candidate will have:

• Electrical Trade Qualification (Electrical Supervisors or Contractors Licence)
• High Voltage Switching accreditation or willingness to complete qualification.
• Demonstrated experience with maintenance of heavy mining equipment is preferred (Hitachi, Cat, Liebherr and Komatsu)
• A strong diagnosing and troubleshooting background with proven experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Sound computer skills
• Excellent work quality and attention to detail
• Ability to focus on continuous improvement, working safely and meeting environmental standards.
