Job summary

Blackbook Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for a large-scale food manufacturing operation located at Kilcoy, QLD. You will lead a busy maintenance team across a 24/7 facility, ensuring plant reliability, safety and production performance, with a 4am–4pm day shift and a 4 on/4 off roster.

The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and involves supervising trades personnel, coordinating planned and reactive maintenance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in mechanical field.
• Experience leading maintenance teams.
• Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Join a large-scale food manufacturing and processing operation as a Maintenance Supervisor, leading a team of tradespeople across a busy 24/7 facility.

About the Role Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will lead maintenance activities across the site, ensuring plant reliability, safety, and production performance.
Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising and developing maintenance trades personnel
• Managing planned and reactive maintenance activities
• Driving safety, quality and continuous improvement initiatives
• Coordinating resources to minimise downtime
• Working closely with Production and Operations teams
• Supporting preventative maintenance programs and shutdowns
• Utilising CMMS systems to manage maintenance activities

About You

• Mechanical Trade Qualification preferred
• Previous experience as a Maintenance Supervisor, Leading Hand or Team Leader
• Background within food manufacturing, meat processing, FMCG or industrial environments
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience managing preventative and breakdown maintenance
• Positive, hands-on leadership style with a focus on team engagement
