Our Rare Earths deposit in Mt Weld, Western Australia, is acknowledged as one of the highest-grade Rare Earths mines in the world and we operate the world’s largest single Rare Earths processing plant in Malaysia – so you’re joining a very unique team! As a team member you will be contributing to the sustainable supply of rare earths metals which are used in oil & gas, electric vehicles, and wind turbines.

An opportunity exists for an experienced Maintenance (Mechanical) Supervisor to join Lynas Rare Earths. This position plays a vital role in ensuring reliable plant performance and safe, efficient maintenance operations across site facilities. This is a FIFO position from Perth to our Mt Weld Operations on an 8/6 roster.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all people and plant in your care remain safe
• Maintain plant performance as required by Mt Weld Operations
• Allocate daily work assignments including maintenance, repair, housekeeping, and administrative tasks
• Conduct daily workplace inspections and lead monthly safety toolbox meetings
• Manage contractors to ensure work scope and goals are achieved safely and efficiently
• Lead accident investigations and drive positive safety outcomes
• Liaise with all departments to coordinate mechanical maintenance requirements
• Always ensure compliance with company procedures and safety standards
• Provide thorough handovers to incoming supervisors and maintain effective communication across shifts
• Remain available on-site to respond to any plant breakdowns or critical maintenance issues

Skills Required

• Demonstrated experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor in the mining or heavy industrial sector
• Mechanical Trade Certificate (or equivalent)
• Valid C-Class WA Manual Driver’s Licence
