Job summary

RCPA in Melton is seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to lead our maintenance team. This hands-on leadership role focuses on supervising maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability, coordinating schedules and promoting a strong safety culture on site.

The role:

We're seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to lead our maintenance team at our Melton operation. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability, coordinating maintenance schedules, and driving a strong safety culture across the site.

You will have demonstrated experience leading a maintenance team in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment. With a strong focus on safety, reliability and team performance, you will be responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, managing workloads, and keeping plant and equipment operating at their best.

What you’ll do:

Lead and develop a team of skilled maintenance technicians.

Ensure efficient execution of preventive and corrective maintenance programs.

Collaborate with operations and engineering to enhance equipment performance and reliability.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system issues.

Foster a strong safety culture while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.

Maintain accurate records of equipment history, maintenance activities, and spare parts inventory.

Lead root cause analysis efforts for equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment performance and reduce costs.

What we’re looking for:

Previous supervisory experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment is required.

Proven experience in building, coaching, and developing high-performance teams.

Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.

Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting.

Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Relevant trade certification, technical diploma, or degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or a related field.
