Overview

Amazon is hiring for a Maintenance Supervisor to join the Reliability Maintenance and Engineering (RME) team at our Ravenhall Fulfilment Centre (FC). The Maintenance Supervisor is the shift lead for a team of up to 6 Technicians (fitters and electricians). During each shift, they lead the team in executing preventative maintenance to maximize equipment uptime. They maintain a strong focus on safety by monitoring processes and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulations and policies. Learn more about Amazon RME in Australia.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead Maintenance Technicians by motivating, providing guidance and directions to help them achieve their goals.
  • Deliver and maintain Preventive Maintenance programs, building compliance programs, including facility and contractor management.
  • Act as an ambassador for safety within the team and to promote safe working across the site.
  • Manage maintenance related purchase orders to maximise smooth facility operation and control of critical spare and store inventory to ensure adequate stock levels for maintenance.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot all FC systems including power distribution, automated material handling equipment, conveyance, and all other operational equipment.
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship across all levels in the organisation, including regular attendance to site leadership meetings and steering committees.
A day in the life

In every shift, you’ll be leading a team to make sure everyone has the equipment they need and that it’s running properly. That involves monitoring processes so that regulations and policies are followed and ensuring that preventative maintenance is carried out to increase equipment uptime. With everything you observe on your shifts, you’ll suggest improvements to make our systems more efficient and productive.

Qualifications
  • Experience directly managing teams of 3 or more
  • Experience providing training and mentorship
  • Experience working with Material handling equipment (MHE)
  • Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks
  • Experience in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering
  • Formal trade qualification: Cert III in Electrotechnology with valid trade electrical licence OR Cert III Mechanical Engineering (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, an equivalent trade qualification formally recognised in Australia.
  • Experience in contractor management
  • Experience in automated conveyors systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, preventative maintenance procedures, blueprint and schematic reading, industrial electrical, industrial controls, industrial electronics, Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs, National Electrical Code (NEC), work order management
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements
  • Experience in facilities management
  • Experience of multi-contractor management
