Job summary

Redpath Mining is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the underground maintenance team, ensuring safe, efficient execution of planned, preventive and breakdown maintenance across underground mobile equipment.

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will drive a proactive safety culture, mentor tradespeople, and coordinate daily activities to align with production needs. A strong leadership background in underground mining is essential.

Qualifications

  • Trade qualification in mechanical discipline with Heavy Diesel Fitter preferred.
  • Significant underground mining maintenance experience.
  • Supervisory or leading hand experience in underground mining.
  • Strong knowledge of underground mobile equipment maintenance and reliability.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Solid understanding of mining safety systems and maintenance best practices.
  • Commitment to a strong safety culture and high-performing team.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate major repairs, servicing, and shutdowns.
  • Liaise with planners, supervisors and ops to align priorities.
  • Ensure parts, materials and resources are available for planned work.
  • Review work orders and maintenance reports to drive efficiencies.
  • Maintain maintenance records and statutory documentation.
  • Monitor compliance with site and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare reports on equipment performance and downtime.
  • Investigate failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve maintenance practices and cost efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance.
  • Contribute to site productivity and operational goals.

Qualifications
  • Trade qualification in a relevant mechanical discipline (Heavy Diesel Fitter preferred).
  • Significant underground mining maintenance experience.
  • Previous supervisory or leading hand experience within underground mining environments.
  • Strong knowledge of underground mobile equipment maintenance and reliability practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Sound understanding of mining safety systems, statutory requirements, and maintenance best practices.
  • Commitment to fostering a strong safety culture and high-performing team environment.
