Job summary

UniLodge Lincoln House in Carlton, VIC is seeking a General Maintenance professional to service apartments, common areas and the building exterior with support from the Maintenance Department. Responsibilities include lighting checks, minor painting and plastering, and carpentry and plumbing repairs.

You will also complete worksheets, monitor spare parts stock, respond to urgent repair requests, and may be required for after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in general property maintenance.
• Safety-first mindset and knowledge of OH&S principles.
• Ability to perform light carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lighting checks and minor repairs (painting, plastering, carpentry, plumbing).
• Complete worksheets and monitor spare parts stock levels.
• Respond to urgent repair requests from staff or management.
• Occasional after-hours maintenance when required.

About You

Our ideal candidate will possess a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to be a part of our fun team. You will be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role - any experience within accommodation, real estate or hospitality will be highly regarded. You will have a 'safety first' mindset, and understanding of basic OH&S principles and chemical handling.
This role will keep you busy and will offer you variety in duties day-to-day. You will need to have the physical ability to move & relocate soft furnishings around property, and be okay with working independently and within a team. Communication skills are key in this role as our staff and residents come from diverse backgrounds. The successful candidate must hold a valid state Drivers Licence with no driving restrictions.
