Job summary

Wilmar Sugar Australia is seeking a Works Coordinator at Victoria Mill to lead safety, productivity and quality across the maintenance team. You will supervise daily maintenance and capital works, plan strategies with Engineering, manage resources and contractors, and ensure on-time delivery within budget and standards.

The role requires strong leadership, planning and communication skills, with experience in heavy industry and familiarity with SAP maintenance systems.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead a mixed team of trades and non-trades.
• Experience in heavy industrial maintenance.
• Knowledge of reliability systems and processes.
• Proficiency in plant maintenance planning.
• Experience in the sugar industry.
• Knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety Acts, Regulations, and Codes of Practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee daily maintenance activities to keep mill operations running safely and efficiently.
• Provide leadership and direction to a mixed team of trades and non-trades personnel, supporting performance, development and teamwork.
• Coordinate contractors, specialist services and internal resources to deliver maintenance and capital works.
• Monitor job progress, budgets and timelines to ensure work is completed to required standards and operational needs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support major projects, including the installation of a new flyash plant.
