Job description

Starting to wonder if there's more to plumbing than dig up, repair, backfill, repeat?

Maybe the managers keep changing. Maybe the good people keep leaving. Maybe the culture isn't what it used to be. Or maybe you'd leave too... if you weren't tied down because someone paid for your training.

At Fix It Right Plumbing, we're looking for experienced plumbers who actually want some variety in their week and a workplace they can see themselves staying at.

Forget doing the same job every day.

We're a residential maintenance plumbing company, which means you'll work across:

• Blocked drains & CCTV

• Hot water

• Leak detection

• Drain relining

• Burst pipes

• Tapware & fixtures

• Gas

• General plumbing maintenance

• Larger repair and replacement work

Not eight hours a day standing in a trench wondering where it all went wrong.

And when those bigger jobs come up, We're continuing to give our plumbers better ways to help customers get the work done.

We believe culture matters

We're not going to give you the standard "we're like a family" line.

What we will tell you is that we've spent 17 years building Fix It Right, and we take the environment our plumbers work in seriously.

You'll have a team around you, structured training, support when a job gets difficult and managers who actually know who you are and want to see you succeed.

We invest in our plumbers because we want you to build a career here not count down the days until you can leave.

Already had training or education paid for?

This is important.

If you're interested in joining us but you're worried you're contractually tied to your current employer because they've paid for courses, qualifications or further education, don't automatically assume you're stuck.

Come and have a confidential conversation with us first.

There may be options.

We're happy to sit down, understand your situation and talk about whether we can make the move work.

No pressure. No awkward sales pitch. And obviously we're not calling your current employer.

What we're looking for

We're after qualified plumbers who take pride in their work, communicate well with customers and want to become seriously good maintenance plumbers.

If you're happy where you are, genuinely stay there.

But if you've been watching people around you leave and thinking:

"Maybe it's my turn."

It probably doesn't hurt to have a conversation.
