Job summary

Rio Tinto is seeking a Maintenance Planner / Scheduler to develop and optimise planned and preventative maintenance programs for New Zealand Aluminium Smelter (NZAS). You will coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to maximise asset reliability and performance, while ensuring safe, compliant work execution.

Reporting to the Senior Planner, you will use SAP to create plans, schedules, and work instructions, and contribute to budgeting and continuous improvement initiatives across

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling in industrial settings.
• Ability to develop and optimise planned maintenance schedules.
• Proficiency with SAP or similar CMMS/work management systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review and optimise planned and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Plan maintenance activities to improve resource utilisation and operational efficiency.
• Create and maintain maintenance plans, task lists, job instructions, and procedures in SAP.
• Ensure plans comply with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate schedules and asset data in SAP and other systems.
• Analyse maintenance data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support budgeting and cost tracking for maintenance activities.
