Job summary

Leadwood Farming Pty Ltd in Mutchilba, QLD is seeking a Maintenance Planner for permanent full-time, responsible for the maintenance of all equipment across farming activities, working with on-farm and contracted technicians to ensure equipment functions properly.

The role focuses on scheduling, coordinating shutdowns, providing technical support, directing technicians, stocking workshops with spare parts, and maintaining accurate records to minimise downtime across cropping and packing

Qualifications

• Experience developing and managing preventative maintenance schedules across multiple operations.
• Strong knowledge of agricultural machinery and processing equipment.
• Good inventory control and spare parts management.
• Effective record-keeping, project coordination and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Direct work by internal and external technicians and mechanics.

• Collaborate with Managers and Farm Owners to minimise downtime.

MAINTENANCE PLANNER

SALARY: $76K - $96K p.a.

FULLTIME - PERMANENT

Responsibilities:

The full-time Maintenance Planner will be responsible for the maintenance of all equipment across the Applicant's farming activities. Working closely with on-farm and contracted technicians and mechanics, the Maintenance Planner ensures that all equipment functions appropriately for its purpose.

Specific tasks and responsibilities:

• Maintain and manage a schedule of all equipment and execute maintenance across cropping and packing/processing operations in accordance with maintenance schedule
• Coordinate shutdowns and rotation of equipment between enterprises to ensure efficient operations and essential maintenance are attended to
• Provide technical assistance and providing support to all maintenance activities
• Directing work undertaken by all internal and external technicians and mechanics
• Ensure workshops are stocked appropriately with spare parts needed, and liaising with external providers and suppliers in accordance with maintenance needs
• Project manage any construction and structural work required
• Maintaining accurate records, including collating all relevant manuals and documents for each equipment across the enterprises.
• Working closely with Managers across cropping and packing/processing operations, and Farm Owners to ensure least amount production downtime

Experience requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience

Skills Required

• Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and manage preventative maintenance schedules across multiple operations
• Strong technical knowledge of agricultural machinery, processing equipment and mechanical systems, including fault identification
• Sound inventory control and spare parts management skills
• Effective record-keeping, project coordination and stakeholder communication skills
