Job summary

Tassal is seeking a Maintenance Officer at the Dover site to support our operations with hands-on electrical work and proactive problem solving. You will join our skilled electrical team, reporting to the Maintenance Manager, and contribute to maintaining equipment reliability.

This role involves on-call provisions, shift coverage, and a fast-paced environment where safety and Zero Harm practices are paramount. A proactive, team‑oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Current Electrical Licence (mandatory).
• Previous industrial electrical experience.
• Exposure to PLC and SCADA systems (desirable).
• High Voltage experience (preferred but not essential).
• System-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced working environment.
• Respectful, empathetic, and outcomes-focused approach, paired with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to participate in shift cover, weekends, and overtime as required.
• Safe, driven, reliable, and can-do attitude with a commitment to teamwork.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Full working rights in Australia.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns, diagnose issues, and test, repair, and maintain electrical equipment, components, and systems.
• Work with PLC and SCADA-based systems, network cabling (fibre and copper), variable speed drives, large generators, LV power distribution, and instrumentation.
• Interpret electrical schematics to ensure effective troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Proactively identify and address potential issues to minimise downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
• Uphold safety standards and contribute to our Zero Harm culture.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you'll work as part of our skilled electrical team to ensure the smooth running of our equipment and systems.
