  • Permanent Full Time
  • Salary: $76,302 - $85,765 gross p.a. plus 12% Super plus allowances
  • 38 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with a 9 day fortnight
  • Based from Bay & Basin Leisure Centre

About The Role

This position is responsible for undertaking efficient building construction and maintenance works for the Shoalhaven Swim, Sport & Fitness department public buildings. This includes:

  • Lead and coordinate tradesman, contractors, plant equipment and materials on building construction and maintenance projects
  • Carry out building condition inspections and record information in data bases
  • Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for building works and monitor expenditure of budgets
  • Liaise with staff and the public to deliver excellent service
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, Council policies and child safety protocols

Being available to be on-call and complete reasonable overtime is a requirement of this position.

About You

To be successful in the position, you will have:

  • Certificate IV in Building and or Construction or equivalent experience
  • Proven trade experience at a senior level
  • Current NSW General Construction Induction Card (White card)
  • Current Class MR Driver's License
  • Willingness to obtain a First Aid Certificate
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check Job Description
  • Proof of Right to Work in Australia
