Job summary

Accor Apartments & Realty in Western Australia is seeking a Maintenance Officer to keep rooms, amenities and common areas in excellent condition. You will take charge of diverse maintenance tasks, spotting issues early and using your tools to prevent bigger problems.

You will collaborate with a small team and work independently, tackling challenges with innovative solutions. Flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays, are required, and you will receive training for career

Qualifications

• Experience in property maintenance; familiarity with preventative maintenance a plus; no formal qualifications required.
• Capable of communicating effectively with the General Manager, guests and onsite contractors.
• Willing to work a flexible rotating schedule, including weekends and public holidays.
• Comfortable in a physical role with a proactive attitude.

Purpose

As Maintenance Officer, you will be the master of all trades, prepared to take on any maintenance, repair, or improvement challenge that may arise. You possess the ability to spot issues before they expand (today's leak could become tomorrow's flood!) and you skilfully employ your handy tools to address a diverse range of tasks, ensuring the property remains in impeccable condition.

Primary Responsibilities

• Take charge of ensuring that all rooms, amenities, and communal spaces within the property are well-maintained and in excellent condition
• Collaborate with a diverse team, requiring both a cooperative mindset and the ability to work independently
• Encounter stimulating challenges that require innovative solutions
• Be thoroughly trained and provided information on how to progress in your field

Skills and Experience

• Comfortable in a physical role, have a get-up-and-go attitude and be someone who won’t stop until the job is completed in a safe and presentable manner
• Prior experience in property maintenance and familiarity with preventative maintenance programs is a plus / no official qualifications required
• Confident in communicating effectively at all levels, from the General Manager, to guests and contractors working onsite
• Capable of embracing a flexible rotating schedule, including weekends and public holidays
