Job summary

Crystalbrook Sam is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Specialist to support day-to-day upkeep across guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces. You will work with the Maintenance Manager and hotel team to respond quickly to maintenance needs and keep the property running smoothly.

The role emphasizes proactive maintenance, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks across a busy hotel environment, including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel maintenance or related hands-on role.
• Good general maintenance and repair skills.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out general repairs and preventative maintenance across guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces.
• Responding promptly to maintenance requests and operational issues.
• Assisting with basic plumbing, painting, patching, carpentry and general maintenance tasks.
• Supporting the upkeep of fixtures, fittings, equipment and hotel facilities.
• Completing scheduled maintenance tasks and routine inspections.
• Identifying issues early and escalating more complex repairs where required.
• Working closely with Housekeeping, Front Office, Food and Beverage and other hotel teams.
• Supporting contractors and external service providers when needed.
• Maintaining safe, clean and organised work areas.
• Helping ensure the hotel remains compliant, secure and guest ready at all times

Job description

This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in fixing things properly and understands that great maintenance is often invisible when it is done well.

From guest rooms and public spaces to back-of-house areas and hotel equipment, you will help keep Crystalbrook Sam safe and beautifully maintained every day.

The Role

Working closely with our Maintenance Manager and wider hotel team, you will support the day-to-day upkeep of the property and respond quickly to maintenance needs across the hotel.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Carrying out general repairs and preventative maintenance across guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces

You Will Ideally Bring

• Previous experience in hotel maintenance, facilities, building services, trades assistance or a similar hands-on role
• Good general maintenance and repair skills
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• A proactive approach and the ability to identify issues before they become bigger problems
• Good communication skills and a collaborative working style
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities across a busy hotel environment
• A strong understanding of workplace safety
• Flexibility to work across a seven-day hotel operation, including weekends and public holidays
• Trade qualifications or relevant licenses are desirable but not essential
