Job summary

PLS is recruiting a Maintenance Materials Officer to coordinate, verify, stage and track maintenance materials in the yard, supporting weekly maintenance and shutdown activities. You will work with warehouse, maintenance and shutdown teams to ensure items are ready for work orders and deliveries.

The role operates on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO in the Pilbara region, with a focus on safety, efficiency and accurate material management throughout the maintenance cycle.

Qualifications

• High Risk Work Licence - Forklift (LF) required.
• Telehandler competency/licence.
• Current C Class Driver's Licence.
• Strong organisational and material tracking skills.
• Ability to interpret work orders and parts lists.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
• Pronto experience (desirable).
• Rigging or Dogging licence (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Receive materials into the maintenance yard from the warehouse team.
• Verify parts and quantities against work orders, BOMs and job packs.
• Identify and report missing, damaged or incorrect items.
• Consolidate and stage materials for upcoming maintenance and shutdowns.
• Track location and status of materials from delivery to execution.
• Operate forklifts and telehandlers to move materials safely.
• Collaborate with maintenance planners, supervisors and shutdown crews.
• Monitor delivery of critical parts and communicate delays.
• Maintain an organised maintenance yard.
• Coordinate the return of unused materials to the warehouse.
• Prepare components for off-site repair or refurbishment.
• Follow site safety procedures and risk controls.
• Liaise daily with warehouse, maintenance and shutdown personnel.
• Attend pre-starts, planning and shutdown preparation meetings.
• Support efficient maintenance execution by ensuring material availability.
• Identify opportunities to improve material management processes.
