Job summary

Alstom is seeking a Maintenance Manager in Nowergup, Western Australia, to lead all site maintenance operations, driving preventive and corrective maintenance, vehicle repairs, and fleet upgrades. You will ensure peak availability while delivering safe, efficient, and cost‑effective services across the rail network.

You will oversee budgeting, planning, workforce scheduling and resource forecasting, while coaching technicians and team leaders to uphold safety, quality and performance standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading maintenance operations within asset‑intensive environments (rail/transport/manufacturing).
  • Strong knowledge of preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and compliance standards.
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets, resources, and performance.

Your future role

Join Alstom as a Maintenance Manager in Nowergup, Western Australia, and play a pivotal leadership role in delivering safe, reliable, and high-performing rail services. As the Maintenance Manager, you will lead all maintenance operations across the site, driving preventative and corrective maintenance programmes, vehicle repairs, fleet upgrades, and continuous performance improvement initiatives. You will be responsible for ensuring the fleet operates at peak availability while delivering maintenance services safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

Working closely with customers, operational teams, and key stakeholders, you'll oversee the successful execution of maintenance strategies that meet contractual commitments, optimise fleet reliability, and uphold Alstom's industry-leading standards for safety, quality, and operational excellence.   • Driving compliance with all Alstom and regulatory policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure operational excellence and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Leading and overseeing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities, ensuring all work is delivered in accordance with the Maintenance Management Plan.
  • Maximising fleet availability, reliability, and performance while consistently delivering on contractual commitments and customer expectations.
  • Managing and optimising maintenance budgets, including labour, overtime, tooling, and materials, to achieve cost-effective operational outcomes.
  • Identifying and implementing risk mitigation strategies, cost‑saving opportunities, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Supporting and coordinating operational planning, workforce scheduling, and resource forecasting to ensure maintenance activities are effectively resourced and delivered.
  • Leading, coaching, and developing maintenance team leaders, technicians, and support staff, fostering a high-performance culture focused on safety, accountability, and growth.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to support collaboration, service excellence, and successful project delivery.
