Job description

Queen's Wharf Residences are looking for an experienced and reliable Maintenance Manager to lead our Maintenance department on a full-time basis.

In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance and facilities management requirements at Queen's Wharf Residences.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead and execute the preventative maintenance program to ensure optimal property performance.
  • Provide hands-on support by performing repairs and maintenance as required across the property.
  • Supervise and manage key service areas including, but not limited to, electrical, mechanical, pest control, cleaning, fire protection, security control systems, hydraulic services, and approved contractor works.
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) best practices at all times.
  • Oversee stock control and supplier management to maintain efficient operations.
  • Prepare quotes, schedule, and manage Capital Expenditure (Capex) requests.
  • Support the Hotel Manager in the recruitment and development of the Maintenance department team.
Qualifications

The successful applicant will have:

  • Previous hands-on Maintenance/Facilities Management experience, preferably in a hotel environment.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop team members.
  • Experience implementing a preventative maintenance program.
  • Experience organising, consulting and negotiating with Contractors.
  • Sound MS Office skills (including Excel spreadsheets and word documents)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications combined with impeccable presentation.
  • Availability to work Monday - Friday, with some on call work on weekends.
  • Building qualification will be highly regarded.
