Thiess at Peak Downs is seeking a Maintenance Leading Hand to lead a crew, perform servicing and maintenance, and ensure safety and quality on site.

You will read schematics, manage parts, cover for the Supervisor, and help maintain housekeeping and timely completion of work. Experience with CAT, Liebherr, and Komatsu is valued.

Qualifikationen

• G1–G9 supervisor certs with mine site experience.
• Diesel fitter or heavy vehicle trade qualifications.
• Experience with CAT, Liebherr and Komatsu mining gear.
• Familiarity with JDE and OEM computer-based systems.

Aufgaben

• Lead a maintenance crew ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Perform servicing, repairs and maintenance per docs.
• Read schematics for electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and quality workmanship.
• Step up to cover the Maintenance Supervisor as needed.
• Manage parts requirements for work and night-shift warehouse.

The Opportunity

Thiess is seeking an experienced Maintenance Leading Hand at our high performing Peak Downs project.

Roster: 7/7| Location: Peak Downs | Employment Type: Fulltime

As the Maintenance Leading Hand, you will:

• Lead your crew ensuring everyone works safely and efficiently.
• Perform servicing, repair, and maintenance in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication, and maintenance systems documentation.
• Source technical information including, technical bulletins, OEM, and computer-based systems, be able to read and understand schematics – electrical and hydraulic.
• Ensure good housekeeping standards are always maintained.
• Carry out quality work.
• Step up and cover for the Maintenance Supervisor in his absence.
• Maintain radio communications for shift activities.
• Manage parts requirements for work.
• Warehouse control on night shift
• Make sure all work is performed in a timely manner

About you

• G1, G8, G9 (formally S1,2,3) and G2 supervising certificates and experience in supervising maintenance activities on an operational mine.
• Relevant diesel fitter / heavy vehicle trade qualifications
• Proven experience with Caterpillar, Leibherr and Komatsu mining equipment
• Post-trade operational mine site experience
• Experience in service, maintenance, breakdowns, component change outs and effective diagnostic skills.
• Safety focus with a high attention to detail
• Computer system JDE
• Oil analysis and interpretation.
• OEM computer-based systems
