A timber products manufacturer in Bell Bay is seeking a Maintenance Leading Hand to oversee maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will provide support to supervisory staff and assist in the training of maintenance personnel. Our two manufacturing sites are located close to some of the best plantation pine resources in the world - Bell Bay in Tasmania & Tarpeena in South Australia. Our fit-for-purpose indoor and outdoor plantation pine products are suitable for building new homes, renovation projects and other industrial manufacturing applications including packaging, pallets, and furniture components.
About the role
We currently have a vacancy for a Maintenance Leading Hand who will be responsible for providing the Electrical Maintenance and Mechanical Maintenance Supervisors, along with your own team, outstanding support and guidance to its crew on a daily basis, ensuring that maintenance is completed on time and in line with the daily requirements. This permanent, full time position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and is based at our sawmill located in Bell Bay (Approx. 30 minutes from Launceston). The role requires the successful candidate to be available on a 7-day, day shift roster on the following schedule:
• 5 days on, 5 days off then
• 4 days on, 5 days off then
• 5 days on, 4 days off then back to start again

Please note that previous experience leading electrical or mechanical maintenance teams are highly desired, along with relevant and/or suitable trade qualifications are highly desirable.
