Job summary

BlueScope is seeking a Maintenance Manager at the Novar Gardens site in South Australia. You will lead maintenance across the state to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations, guiding asset performance and preventative maintenance systems.

You will coach the maintenance team, manage budgets, and contribute to capital planning while collaborating with operations, sales and leadership teams to drive continuous improvement across sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, asset management, manufacturing, operations or related technical environment.
• Experience coaching or leading others to achieve shared outcomes.
• Strong safety leadership and wellbeing commitment.
• Commercial awareness with ability to develop/manage budgets and support capital planning.
• Ability to use data and insights to guide improvement.
• Ability to build trusted relationships across operations, sales and leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Support a strong safety culture and help the business move toward Zero Harm.
• Contribute to development, implementation and continuous improvement of preventive maintenance systems across branches.
• Use technical knowledge to improve equipment reliability, asset performance and maintenance effectiveness.
• Coach and develop the maintenance team, building capability and engagement.
• Lead development and management of maintenance budgets across sites, with cost controls and improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to capital planning, budget development and business case preparation for asset-performance projects.
• Ensure maintenance activity, reporting, compliance and legal requirements are completed accurately and on time.
• Partner with stakeholders to support operational performance and business improvement projects.
