Job summary

Regional Livestock Exchanges is seeking an experienced maintenance leader to own maintenance performance at the SELX site in Yass NSW. You will drive proactive planning, hands-on problem solving and team coordination to keep critical infrastructure operating safely and efficiently.

You will manage maintenance activities, oversee scheduling, and liaise with the Business/Site Manager to ensure compliance, reliability and readiness for day-to-day livestock operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in plant and equipment maintenance.
• Light fabrication and welding experience.
• Knowledge of loaders, tractors, bobcats.
• Knowledge of pumps and livestock watering systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritise work.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and team leadership.
• Willingness to work in a dynamic operational environment with proactive maintenance and reliability.
• Q fever vaccination or willingness to get one.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance activities with the Manager to meet compliance requirements.
• Plan, coordinate and document maintenance to support operations.
• Oversee the maintenance management system, prioritise and schedule works.
• Plan, allocate and supervise maintenance across the site.
• Drive a proactive maintenance culture and address risks.
• Coordinate planned and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Maintain spare parts, tools and consumables for fast response.
