Job summary

Talison Lithium Pty Ltd's Greenbushes Lithium Operation is seeking an experienced Maintenance Improvement Superintendent to lead strategic maintenance improvements, with a focus on shutdown planning, readiness, execution and performance.

Working collaboratively with Maintenance, Operations and stakeholders, you will drive sustainable improvements in maintenance processes, work management and reliability, while potentially leading a small team for analysis, project management and implementation.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in engineering or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Substantial maintenance experience in complex mining/heavy industry settings.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and shutdown improvements.

Responsibilities

• Work in accordance with safety, environmental and risk management requirements; ensure changes are risk assessed and embedded without compromising safe production.
• Translate maintenance objectives into prioritized improvement initiatives and track delivery, dependencies and risks.
• Lead end-to-end improvement of shutdown performance from scope development to return-to-service and post-shutdown review.
• Improve maintenance notification, scoping, planning, scheduling, execution, close-out and feedback processes.
• Identify chronic losses, apply root-cause methods and verify corrective actions.
• Address constraints related to labour, equipment or processes for shutdown/major maintenance.
• Define leading and lagging indicators to measure improvements in maintenance performance and practices.
• Build effective working relationships across departments and with contractors.
