Job summary

Veriu is seeking a maintenance professional for our Punthill Narrabundah property in Canberra. You will work closely with the Hotel Manager to maintain and improve guest spaces, rooms, and common areas, providing reliable and proactive service.

The role requires a can-do attitude, strong communication, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced hotel environment. On-site duties include coordination with contractors, inventory control, and safety/compliance tasks to enhance guest experiences.

• Undertake a variety of general hotel maintenance work in common areas and hotel rooms
• Complete repairs to apartments, equipment, and common area hardware
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical equipment such as TVs and air conditioners
• Respond quickly to emergencies and maintain maintenance inventory
• Manage on-site contractors, contractor compliance and inductions, upkeep of service agreements, and building audits for compliance
• Work independently with an ownership mindset but also with a team focus
• Manage and assist in new building defects

Responsibilities

This is an exciting maintenance role, perfect for someone with a keen eye for detail and an impeccable sense of pride in their work.Working closely with the Hotel Manager, you’ll be part of a small team of genuine people, looking to create lasting memories and exceptional experiences for each and every guest. No day will be the same, but each day you’ll expertly:

• Undertake a variety of general hotel maintenance work in common areas and hotel rooms
