Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative maintenance on plant and equipment, adhering to manufacturer recommendations to ensure safety, product quality, and production efficiency.
• Plan, schedule, and organize tasks independently, coordinating with other team members as necessary.
• Execute emergency work orders promptly and provide troubleshooting expertise to minimize downtime.
• Fit and assemble fabricated metal parts and subassemblies with precision measuring tools.
• Set up and operate machining tools to form stocks and castings with fine tolerances.
• Diagnose faults and perform maintenance, overhauling mechanical parts and fluid power equipment.
• Cut, thread, bend, and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines.
• Provide daily feedback on work progress and safety reports; suggest improvements.
• Supervise apprentices and participate in Safety Tool Box Meetings.
• Maintain flexibility in work hours and respond to after-hours breakdowns.
• Commit to a Zero Harm safety philosophy and maintain compliance.
