BlueScope’s Lysaght maintenance team in Novar Gardens is seeking a trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter to support a busy manufacturing operation. You’ll perform preventative and breakdown maintenance, contribute to capital projects and equipment upgrades, and collaborate across maintenance and operations to boost safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining manufacturing, processing or production equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach.
• Experience with preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Understanding of safe work practices, permits and maintenance compliance.
• Experience using maintenance management systems and basic computer applications.
• Strong communication and collaboration across maintenance and operations teams.
• Commitment to safety and wellbeing of self and others.

Responsabilités

• Interact with maintenance management systems and record completed work.
• Assess job risks and implement control measures via JSEAs and permit systems.
• Isolate equipment and carry out corrective maintenance activities.
• Inspect equipment, identify faults and complete repairs.
• Respond to machinery breakdowns and troubleshoot issues.
• Contribute to shutdown planning and maintenance activities.
• Support machinery upgrades, equipment improvements and capital projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and maintenance performance.
