Job summary

JBS Australia is seeking a Maintenance Fitter at Prime City Feedlot to join our experienced maintenance team. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose breakdowns on grain mill and related heavy plant, and manage parts orders and stock control within a busy feedlot environment.

The role requires relevant trade qualifications and hands-on experience with grain handling equipment, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications and demonstrated suitable experience.
• Maintenance experience with grain milling and grain handling.
• Demonstrated ability to trouble shoot and problem solve.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team or independently.
• Confined Space and Working at Heights certificates desirable (but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine preventative maintenance programs.
• Breakdown diagnosis and repairs to grain mill, grain receival, various heavy plant and general feedlot equipment and infrastructure.
• General feedlot maintenance tasks including parts ordering, stock control and stocktaking.
• Updating of maintenance records and job sheets.
• Maintaining compliance with JBS Australia policies (WHS, HR, QA, Animal Welfare & Environmental obligations).
